David Too – Director Strategic Accounts Asia Pacific

As a HR professional for the past 25 years, his expertise is in strategic HR management, Leadership Development and Talent Management system. A key success factor of his HR work is his belief and practice in Practical Management and behavioural science. He is convinced that the key challenge for senior leaders he works with is not so much gaining new “ah ha’s” but rather putting into practice what they already know or know they should be doing to grow their business, with great people. David has worked with both public and private sectors throughout his 25+ years’ career in HR. He was a former scholarship holder with the Singapore Armed Forces as a Captain in the Singapore Navy. When he left the Force, he had also been a Director with the Ministry of Manpower. While in the private sector, David was the Vice President HR with Sibelco Asia, the largest mining company in Europe managing HR functions across 8 countries in Asia. He had also worked in Cisco Systems (US) Inc, where he was the Asia Pacific HR Leader for Cisco Sales Organization, managing sales professionals spanning across 12 countries. He had also worked with Keppel FELS, the largest oil-rig builder in the world and was previously the Country HR Manager with Fairchild Semiconductor, China. He had also practiced with Personnel Decisions International, a US Behavioral Science consulting firm, specializing in training & development. David has lived and worked in China for about 10 years, and is a popular speaker in China HR Conferences. He is currently serving as a Board Member with a Social Service sector, and invests in new start ups.
